120 & 200 TRACK!
Ever wonder why some racers stock sleds go faster in stock class then others?
FRICTION is the key. And most of the friction on a 120 & 200 comes from the drive train, and the track creates the largest friction of all.
Less friction or easier rolling track = more speed…
In the perfect world the track on a sled would have brand new lugs on it and roll like it has been used for years. That is why you see racers taking the track off of their 3 year old play sled and putting it on their new race sled. It rolls easier because it is broke in.
Recreational Motorsports has the answer to this problem; it is our track break in stand.
We now offer this service to all 120 racers. Buy a new Arctic Cat, Yamaha or Polaris track from us or ship us your new track and we will do the following
- 1. We trim off all excess rubber left by the molding process from around the track clips. Note: We do no modifications to make track illegal for ISR racing.
- 2. The track is put on our break in stand and run for 16 hours, to break in the cord’s and track clips, then the clips are sprayed with dry graphite for the extra slip needed for speed.
This is MUST DO service for the serious racer buying a new track or sled.
Note: Arctic Cat and Yamaha racers install all the track clips for best performance. We have a service for this to, check it out under the Arctic Cat, Yamaha tracks section.
