THE DOMINATOR CLUTCH IS THE IDEAL CLUTCH FOR THE BRIGGS LO-206 CLASS. WITH THE RIGHT GEARING COMBINATION, THIS WILL BE THE PERFECT RACE WINNING SETUP. We reccomend running the Dominator clutch with black springs installed, it will give you around a 3000 RPM engagment. Your gear ratio should be around 2.80 or lower. This will give you a good starting point for a 50 to 70lb rider.
We started by using a stamped steel drum to reduce rotating weight and machined it to make it perfectly round for better shoe contact and then coated it for rust protection. We also removed the holes from the back side of the clutch drum to eliminate chain oil from getting on the shoes causing them to slip. The drive key is part of the clutch to reduce crankshaft wear from poor fitting keys. The drive shoes can be removed from the clutch for cleaning or spring changes between races without having to remove the whole clutch from the shaft, you don't even have to loosen the chain! The springs are a clip design which reduces heat fatigue and can be changed in seconds with a snap ring pliers.
This clutch runs the #35 chain.
